*** Starting Sunday, January 18th 2009 the ITC will be sponsoring two fitness classes to be held at City Health Club in Ithaca, NY. These classes will be held back to back with Spinning for Form starting at 2pm and Resistance Training for the Endurance Athlete starting at 3:30pm. Both classes will be held every other week for 6 sessions. The last session will be on March 29th unless there is significant demand for the class to continue. Both sessions will be run by certified trainer Brian Olmstead of TGB Training. * In order to sign up for these classes you MUST be a current ITC member. If you are not a member of the Ithaca Triathlon Club you will not be allowed to attend these classes. To join ITC please click here.
CLASS DESCRIPTIONS: Spinning for Form
will be held evey other Sunday from 2-3:30pm. Resistance Training
for the Endurance Athlete, will be held every other Sunday from
3:30-4:30pm. This class will be a progression of learning proper
lifting technique for building strength and balancing out muscle groups.
The goal of these sessions is to turn strength into explosive power
and convert that power into muscular endurance which can then be applied
directly to an endurance sport. This is not a bulk up session, but will
be focused on improving strength and applying those gain to endurance
